Shopping Information

What Shipping Methods Are Available?

We send all Australian and International orders via Australia Post on the next business day.  If you live in Melbourne (or are visiting) you can of course pick up the items free of charge – even just before the race day. Make sure you contact us to make an appointment for pick up.

  • Flat Rate Shipping costs in Victoria are $15
  • Flat Rate Shipping costs for New South Wales, South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland, Tasmania, ACT, NT are $15

We also offer Express Shipping at additional cost.

Facemasks are shipped at a cheaper rate and is quoted in the shop. 

How Long Will It Take To Get My Package?

We highly recommend to order at least 10 days before you need the item. In a rush … last minute? Pick up will be the fastest option. Or maybe express shipping. International shipments can take between 10 and 30 days (sometimes even longer depending on destination). We aim to post the item within 24h after the order. 

Do You Ship Internationally?

You are located in Ascot, Hong Kong, Dubai, New Zealand? Or anywhere else in the world? Of course we ship internationally via AirMail. Please allow plenty of time for the item to arrive … we are located Down Under which is far away! 

  • Shipping internationally costs usually between $30 and $150 depending on size of the hat and your location. Please just send us a quick message with your location and we will find the shipping costs for you. We aim to send via Express Post! 

Velvet&tonic is not responsible for import fees or international taxes as a result of your purchase.

Facemasks ship at a cheaper rate – you find the price in the checkout. 

Can I pick up my items?

Of course you can pick up your items at my studio in Doncaster East. It’s nice to try on the pieces before purchasing, Make sure you make an appointment.

Payment Information

What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

You can pay via PayPal. We also accept Visa and Mastercard via PayPal (you do not need a PayPal account to process a payment). Of course you can also purchase in cash when you pick up an item. 

In what currency do you charge?

All our prices are displayed and charged in Australian Dollars. Paypal or your own bank might charge a currency conversion fee when you pay in another currency. 

Orders and Returns

Do I need an account to place an order?

No! It’s far simpler!  You do not need to create an account to shop with us. Just use the shopping cart and checkout on our website. When you have any trouble send us a message. 

Do you create custom millinery?

All of the items at velvet&tonic are unique and handmade. You always receive a special piece of millinery. At this stage we do not accept custom orders but feel free to send us your ideas, colours or wishes! We might create one!

How Can I Cancel Or Change My Order?

As long as your item is not yet shipped you can cancel your order. A restocking fee of 15% applies. Please send us a quick message.

Faulty items?

Velvet&tonic items are handmade and have strict quality control. Of course we want that your item is in perfect condition and check each single item before we send it out. If you believe your item is faulty please just shoot us a message and we will help you. 

How Can I Return a Product?

We produce exclusive millinery of the highest standard.  We want that you are completely satisfied with your items. However, due to the nature of our products, velvet&tonic does not accept returns. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will gladly exchange your merchandise within seven business days after you received the shipment.

Goods can only be exchanged when they have never been worn,  have no marks or stains, are not damaged and still have their original labels attached.

Facemasks are not able to be refunded or exchanged due to hygiene reasons.
